Ideas like this often seem to have a lot of detractors. It’s common to hear people say something like, “Why not donate the money that iPhone cost you to a charity?” And it is true—an iPhone is a luxury, not a need. But as a developer, you understand that people are going to own these items anyways. Why not encourage them to do good things?

And if you can get masses of people all doing the same good thing at the same time, it can be powerful and bring positive change. I hope this is a success.
