Fever Really is That Hot - Shawn Blanc

News on Fever is making the rounds on the internet this morning. My first reaction was excitement because I’ve been looking forward to this for quite a while.

When got my install up and running, my second reaction was to wonder if a lot of features would apply to me. The idea of sparks didn’t seem to fit my reading habits as I don’t subscribe to feeds that I don’t actually read.

But Shawn’s post this morning explains the intended purpose of Fever and includes a lot of great tips for an optimal experience. If you’re a brand new Fever user, give this a read.

Suppose you want to simply check in quickly and see if anything new or exciting is going on? In any other reader you would have to scan through all your feeds, and mentally assess what’s going on. That’s a lot of thinking, and it certainly doesn’t happen quickly. Which is why people are constantly feeling the need to cut back on feeds.

Yet this is the main point of Fever.
