Today is a small application that provides a simple, elegant heads up view of today’s schedule. It interfaces with iCal and gathers the days tasks and events. There is also the ability to add new meetings and tasks. The preferences allow for a fair amount of configuration options including which calendars you wish to see (and which ones you don’t). If you are looking at an easy way to know what is going on schedule wise right now, check it out.

I also use Today. And another nice touch here is syncing your tasks in Things with iCal. I sync my today list in Things with my main calendar. So Today (the app) shows my day’s events plus the tasks I’ve designated for the day in Things.
