After a couple of weeks of using tumblr as my primary cms, what I’ve come to admire the most is the ease of posting content. There are so many good tools to post your various items to share:

  • Your tumblr dashboard
  • The tumblr iPhone app
  • The tumblr dashboard widget for OS X
  • MarsEdit integration
  • And my favorite by far, the tumblr bookmarklet for Safari

When it comes to posting longer pieces of written content, I’m still undecided on the best approach to writing for this platform. But so much of what I share in this space comes to me during a browsing session or reading a bunch of updated feeds. Whether an image or a link, I’ll find something that I want to share. To do so, I simply click the Share bookmarklet and tumblr does the rest. It does such a good job of picking out the content type that it makes posting easy, and I can focus on what I want to say.
