Wonderful, wonderful print that Andrew Austin shared this morning. He’s a swell chap and sent me over a handful of larger shots — thanks Andrew!

I’m a recent subscriber to Ethical Coffee. And where by subscriber, I mean I subscribe to their coffee. Here’s my take on the product and service.

A nice list of brewing resources.
AeroPress by Aerobie ⇾
I recently picked up an AeroPress via Tools and Toys. This is a short review — the end result: good coffee.
52 Cups of Coffee ⇾
I have really enjoyed this site over the past months. The premise: the author, Megan Gebhart, has a goal of having one cup of coffee with a new person every week for one year. She then shares the conversation that takes place on her blog.
It’s a heartwarming idea and Megan has a great delivery. Here’s an excerpt from cup 26:
That’s when it hit me, the moment Cup 26 made sense. As the characters in Cheers know, it’s nice to have a place where everybody—or at least somebody—knows your name. Especially in today’s increasingly technological world with self-checkout, pay at the pump, online banking, online shopping, email, etc.
… Jim’s story showed me the power of going out of your way to make a connection with someone—to say hello, to listen.
A girl after my own heart.
Shawn Blanc on Coffee ⇾
These days I mostly brew espresso and drink Americanos, but I enjoy reading about the coffee routine of others almost as much as I do reading about office setups. Shawn puts as much care into his coffee prep as he does everything else.
Another nice find via the Utility Journal: the Wave Commuter Mug.
Plastic mugs make your coffee taste like plastic (unless you take cream and sugar, which really isn’t coffee then). I finally found a nice ceramic mug, but the issue is that the temperature drops rapidly. You have maybe 20 minutes to finish your beverage.
The Wave Commuter Mug looks like a nice alternative.
Thanks to Christian Ross, I believe I have found the print for my office that I’ve been looking for. Titled The Perfect Pour.
